My wife and I have really ejoyed the show, Desperate Housewives since it started a few years ago. I preached a series on it last year and it has a quite a few parallels to the Christian life (or lack thereof). Anyway, I was browsing the site and saw a book that would be great for young women lossely based on that series and how women relate to the world around them.
Here is a promo video for the book, check it out:

Seriously, this is crazy. (taken from http://www.stunning-stuff.com/read-weird-news-stories/126.html)
A Chinese man has managed to pull a car while walking on eggs without breaking a single egg.Not only did he pull the car 20 meters, he actually did it with his ears!
The 38-year-old probably has the strangest talent ever seen, but he sure drew a big crowd while he was pulling the car in Dehui, Jinli. The onlookers were astonished by the man's performance. Zhang says he started learning the stunt when he was only 8 years old. Another amazing thing this Chinese can do is pick up a 25 kg bicycle with his mouth while, of course, standing on eggs.We can't figure out what his talents are good for, but they sure are amazing.

So I've had to flee my house because my wife is hosting a baby shower for a friend at church. So what's a better idea for a bright sunny day then sitting at the Car Spa and getting the car all cleaned up.
One of the guys who is washing my car has dropped more "F Bombs" than the words "and, the or like." It's a very interesting conversation that got me thinking... How do most Christ followers react when they are introduced to things of the world in a fairly blatant manner?
I know for me it isn't a big deal to talk to an unchurched person and kind of overlook to a certain extent their language, actions, etc. to try and build a relationship with them. For many people in the church they would view this as "conforming to the world" or becoming callused to things than break God's heart.
I guess the bigger thing for me is letting people be themselves. Who am I to totally change their world in a matter of moments? I need to build an understanding. Something that makes them sit back and think, "Sure, I'll talk, open up a bit, this isn't too strange. I think this person is alright."The American Church-Goer has fallen into mainly two categories:
1. Beat them Rodney King style with the Bible and his word (check out the movie "Saved" for a great example of this, it's funny stuff) or
2. They just don't care about sharing (It's like God is some Dirty Little Secret... thanks All-American Rejects!)
We are now at a crossroads where we as Christ-followers make a conscience effort to be real and treat God and His life changing power more like the exciting partnership it is and less like the plague or an excuse to condemn everyone who doesn't believe what we do. Just something to think about...
Jdel *over and out*

So I'm all moved in to my new office! It's definitely been bitter sweet going through this whole process of transitioning into a new ministry after 7+ years of working/serving with friends and family, but God is doing great things in and through me.
I think it's awesome to have met and worked with some of the greatest people to ever call themselves Christ-followers and I am hoping this new chapter only builds on that.
If you want to check out the ministry at Forefront, where Carrie and I will be serving, just click here. More pics of the office as well as some video clips of funny stuff coming soon. Oh yeah, I'll be speaking at Camp Rudolph June 17-22 this summer and just confirmed SMOV's Launch Convention for March 7-8, 2008. Awesome, hope to see you there!
