God calls you.

You respond.

You and God walk hand in hand in ministry.

Ministry doesn't meet your expectations of the "win"?

What is your response?

What should it be? Why?

The natural response is to turn in the resignation letter. Or at least complain about it for awhile.

Maybe that should be the response, too. It's noble to think that we'll just roll with the punches, but we rarely do. When the "win" doesn't happen, the doubts roll in... and it's a perfect time for God to show you what you're made of, and where your faith has progressed to. Will you throw in the towel? Will you keep going? Will you trust your own skills, or trust God?

Too many guys are quitting when things get "rough." Last time I checked, most of us here in the States weren't being tied up in black sacks, hung from a tree, and beaten within an inch of our lives (like many preachers are in India). Just because things don't turn out like we think they should doesn't mean that God is clueless. He knows what He's doing. He knows what it will take to make us into the leaders He's called us to be.
