After a much needed break, I'm back in action. I took almost two weeks off from blogging, spent time with our staff, went on a family vacation, prayed over God's leading and direction in all aspects of my life. It was a good time.
I needed to get down to the heart of why God calls us to do some of these truly insane things. Why He moves us to do things we don't always understand... and I didn't get a real clear answer on that, but He did speak loud and clear about one thing-
Be thankful.
I am privileged to lead one of the most amazing churches I know of, I have a loving Savior who decided the entire world (including me) was worth saving, I have a beautiful wife, a lovely daughter, a solid family, and great friends that I know would do anything for my family.
It's nice to know that sometimes when His leading doesn't always make sense, God points you back to the things that matter... People. Those you love, those you don't know yet, and those who need you to share the love of Jesus with. It's people that matter. So glad God continues to point out the big things so I don't get caught up in the little things. Glad to be back though, I was missing you guys (and gals).

Oh, a freebie! Who doesn't like something free?!? When we got home yesterday, we didn't feel like cooking so my wife humbly accepted my invitation to Long John Silvers (I know, I know, big spender in the house). Well, here are some shots of us actin' a fool while waiting for the food. Enjoy.
