Some of the things that make me jealous are: I’m sure there are others that belong on that list, but for some examples please click the full-post to see pictures of my favorite offices (in no order). The environment in which you work can really set the tone for what gets done, how it looks & what lines are being pushed to create/complete innovative & relevant projects. The church needs to grab hold of this idea and put some time/energy into creating spaces that spur on their staff to be creative.

Once a year we have a mandatory (but we love to get together regardless) staff & family day. It’s a great time of gathering together, spending time catching up from the craziness of life and just putting the work of the church aside for a brief moment to see what life is like on a personal level. I used to hate (yes, I did use the word) these type of gatherings, but as I get older I come to appreciate the community of getting together with those you work with. Being a true introvert when it comes to social situations, this sometimes can be overwhelming for me, but it’s definitely a way to stretch myself. So kick back and let the potato salad and burgers roll!

So how do you keep it together? iGoogle, iCal, Mail, Google Docs, Txt Reminders, and the list goes on. I have TONS of stuff that I use to keep me informed and our Creative Arts Ministry together, but sometimes it still gets by me. We use Google Docs to keep our team informed about what is going on for the services, but how to you keep "your" team in mind, organized and getting new volunteers in each team. With all the tech out there... I've resolved to using post-it notes (I used the blue ones to mark spots where we really need to grow and up the volunteer base).
